About “Month in Review”
I’ve learnt tremendous amounts from other companies through the transparency movement. My hope is that I can pay it back by being transparent about Cloud Campaign’s journey in hopes that it will help other budding startups one day.
Bringing on an Advisor
As Ross and I begin to face new challenges, it only seemed logical to bring on a new member that has experience in the marketing space and growing startups.
While Taz has helped in the past, he officially came on as an advisor this past month.
Taz comes from an impressive background of building his own startups and assisting other companies get off the ground as an advisor for accelerators such as 500 Startups.
Ironing Out Kinks
Inevitably, onboarding larger clients led to more issues being exposed. For me, much of April was spent on Slack and on the phone fixing issues and adding more custom features for clients.
I wasn’t able to spend as much time as I would hope focusing on marketing and customer acquisition efforts. However, I did keep up the cadence of weekly blog posts and bi-weekly YouTube videos. We also released a free analytics tool that we hope to use as a lead magnet.
Growing the Brand
Ross has been focusing on setting up calls and demos with potential customers. Ultimately, we’re targeting small to medium sized marketing agencies. Being such a new company, it’s been tough to land these initial demos, but we’re hoping by providing value and growing brand awareness, we can land more demos and consequently clients moving forward.
We’ve caught the eye of some large names in the space, such as Social Media Examiner, so I’m hoping it’s just a matter of time before we start to catch some traction.
We’ll be focusing on case studies, guest blogging, and getting in front of influencers for the month of May to accelerate growth a bit.
Product Progression
Auto-Fill Queues
Auto-fill queues further expand on the ability to manage large amounts of content at scale. Rather than having to add individual content items to a queue, you can now just specify what category of content you want to post.
For example, you can say, “post ‘Our Blog’ every Tuesday and Thursday at 1pm”.
Then, anytime you import a new blog post or tag a new content item as ‘Our Blog’, it will automatically be added to the schedule’s queue.
Public Analytics Report
We exposed our in-depth analytics as a free tool for anyone. We’re hoping we can use this as a lead magnet to target potential customers.

Overview Analytics View
When you begin to manage a handful of accounts, it can be hard to understand the direction your brand is going in as a whole. The overview analytics view shows you aggregate information for all of your brands.
